June!

Every year my mother-in-law comes to Utah to participate in the quilt shop hop. A whole bunch of quilt stores work together for three days providing deals and a free template for a quilt project. This year the theme was shows on Broadway so each shop had their own show to dress their store up as and a template to match their theme. The stores vary in location from Logan to Springville. Well, this year my children really wanted to go with grandma to all the stores and collect a free fabric square from each store. And because they wanted to go to all of them we started with the store in Logan, only 2 hours away from home. I really enjoyed the drive because I had the small car with the CD player so I got to listen to a bunch of music that I haven't listened to in years. The time flew by for me. I also got to spend time with Tucker or Hunter one-on-one for extended periods of time. We had lots of fun going to the various quilt stores and spending time together.

Here is a picture of us at one store that had the show Grease Lightening

I gave Connor is first hair cut. Surprisingly I didn't think he totally changed in appearance at the time but I feel like he looks a lot more like Gunnar when his hair is longer and more like Hunter when his hair is shorter.

Connor does not like to eat solid foods. It kind of drives me crazy! He will put anything and everything in his mouth other than solid food. For whatever reason as soon as the food touches his tongue he begins to gag and choke and forgets how to swallow. He happily eats pureed baby food so I am hoping that it is only a matter of time until he will eat the "chunky" stuff.

We had a wonderful visit from our friends that moved to New Jersey. They came through town and spent a couple of days in Provo, and chose to spend some of their precious time with us. It was fun to relax and chat while all the kids played.

We even got a second encounter at the elementary school when we went for lunch the next day. It made me feel special that they would want to hang with our family while they were here. We love the Walkers!

This is a picture of a wooden block creation Tucker built that he was really proud of.

Most of June was spent reading for the summer reading program, attending library story time at the parks, playing at parks (although not as much as we normally do), making crafts at the library and me attempting to workout (it is really hard to motivate 5 children to get ready in the morning to go exercise when I already have little to no desire to work out)
