Hunter loves having his bed turned into a cave or tent, depending on the day. He and Tucker loves to piles everything they can think of on the bed. It also works out well to sneak up on them and scare them while they are playing.

We went with Bryant down to the Provo Airport on our way somewhere else. After Bryant finished up whatever it was he needed to get done, he helped the children climb into one of the airplanes that we were next too. They all thought it was super exciting to get inside the airplane.

After the airport, we went to Walmart and then had a picnic lunch at Neilsen's park. They have a lot of ducks there. Everyone had fun feeding them. We even got to see a couple of baby ducks.

On an other trip to a store we went through Sportsman's Warehouse. They have this nice statute outside the store and the boys really wanted a picture with it :)

Tucker wanted me to take a picture of him with his "baby" I have several of him with different animals. He often requests to borrow the camera to take pictures of all his babies and only wants his picture taken if he can have at least one of his babies in it.

We went to the Museum of Peoples and Cultures for their annual block party again this year. The boys had fun trying to grind corn into flour.

Then they dug in the sand to find "artifacts." They each kept an arrowhead

At the museum they also had the artifacts that had been found while excavation was going on at the Provo City Center Temple on display.

Tucker and Hunter were really looking forward to Fathers and Sons this year. Tucker went last year and Hunter was eagerly awaiting to go for the first time. We got a new tent that would hold all of them and packed up all their clothes for a good time. The morning of the camp out, it was raining really hard. I started prepping the boys that it would likely be too wet to go camping. The rain had stopped in Provo a couple of hours before the camp out and an hour before in Springville, near the campsite. Bryant was actually going to take them camping, in spite of the potentially muddy mess that awaited them, I had even loaded up the van, but when he went to grab his phone after dinner he had a message telling him that the fathers and sons had been cancelled due to weather. Bryant still considered going to the camp ground but he didn't know if he would need to pay to camp or if if was cancelled because the camp ground had just been washed out, so to speak. We discovered the next day, an email from a member of the stake telling us that those who had wanted to camp could have still gone camping, but that the stake was no longer planning on providing breakfast.

Hunter was deeply disappointed that he did not get to go camping. Tucker was understanding and willing to be happy with camping in the tent in the living room. Hunter's attitude changed once the tent was set up Even Brylee was happy to get in on the fun.

Thankfully, the tent is small and there was not enough room for me too :)

April and Easter

April brought a freak snow fall the Friday before Easter. We all wondered if it would be melted in time for the Easter egg hunts planned for Saturday. The snow was not quite right for building a snowman but that did not stop our neighbor's father from trying to build something :)

Well the snow all melted by Friday afternoon making it a great day on Saturday to hunt for some eggs. Our apartment complex did an egg hunt again this year that had lots of eggs for all the children! Tucker and Hunter were super excited, both already knowing what to do.

Brylee needed a little guidance at first to know what she was looking for and that she was meant to pick them up and then put them down in her bag. She caught on quick enough and thanks to the ground rules of everyone finding 10 eggs to start she was allowed to take her time to find her ten eggs

Hunter did not pay much attention to the rules of how many eggs to pick up. Fortunately there were so many that we just stopped him when everyone was told they could have a free for all for the rest of the eggs :)

We then tried to go to the BYU football stadium for their first egg hunt but it was a lot of time sitting in the bleachers waiting for them to get started and only a few moments out on the field. I think a lot more people showed up than they expected. Brylee was only able to pick up two things by the time we got to the field. The boys had a little more luck but not much. We will not be going again next year unless they change the way they did it. I hear the city has a pretty good setup that they use every year so perhaps we will try them next year.

Tucker took the opportunity to read a book to Hunter. This is one of my favorite moments and I wish Tucker would be willing to do it more often, but I am grateful when he chooses to "read" to his brother every time he does!

Brylee's hair is so short! If she were in boys clothes I swear she would look just like a boy.

On this particular day she was practicing her climbing skills. It took a few tries but she eventually made it to the top of the back of the couch and laid down. This is generally impermissible behavior but her brothers were not around to witness the act and I didn't think it would be too harmful once (boy was I wrong, now she is always climbing up on the couch)

Bryant was "cold" because I refused to turn on the heater in April. So he decided to warm up in his blanket on the rocking chair. Well Hunter decided he was cold too and then Tucker and then Brylee. Bryant was a good sport until all the children started climbing and hiding rather than sitting to be warm.

March

 March was a pretty normal month around our place with nothing too exciting happening. Here are a couple of random things.

We finished off a carton of Go Gurt (frozen is currently on of the children's favorite desserts) Brylee's head was just the right size to wear the carton on her head.

 I started at the end of February giving the boys a reward chart. I wanted to help them establish some good habits like getting dressed in the morning, brushing their teeth, saying their prayers, and helping out with chores. When the chart gets full they get to have a date with Me or Bryant. Well for the first complete chart I took the boys to a play at the Scera. It was really cheap because we went with a friend who was part of MBASA (Master of Business Spouses Association) who had a group discount. The boys thought parts were funny but didn't really have the attention span for the whole thing. Good thing I brought some fruit snacks or we would have had to leave half way through!

 Tucker thought the flash on the camera was too bright!

 We had some friends over for dinner which necessitated having the second booster chair out for dinner. The next day Brylee just wanted to sit and play in the booster chair on the ground. She was super excited about it!
