Tucker is 5! I can hardly believe it. He is such an awesome young boy. He loves to play and is a great helper. For his birthday he received an other Book of Mormon Heros book (which we have read multiple times over), slippers (which he wears everywhere, i'll be impressed if they last him more than a couple of months), and legos (which he constantly is playing with).
Tucker really wanted to have Hiro the train for his birthday cake. After watching a video on making train cakes I decided to cut the two loaf pan cakes in thirds, that way if I messed up on Hiro I had some back up pieces. Well cutting Hiro out was a lot easier than I anticipated so I used the remaining 4 thirds to make Thomas, Rosie and two freight cars. Making the cakes was a little rough because I didn't get the cakes made the day before and so I was trying to make them with an additional baby (my friends). Then at 3:30 we got three more kids to watch (again my friends) and Bryant was wanting to clean up the kitchen to make all the pizzas. Thankfully Tucker does not require perfection and forgot that we had bought things to use as the wheels and make coal for the coal tenders. Then I realized I forgot the "d" in birthday as a result of keeping little hands out of the way while trying to write. It was a crazy time! :)
Here is everyone singing to Tucker. Tucker decided that it needed to be dark while we were singing and so he ran off to turn off all the lights the silly guy!
We were not planning to have a friend birthday this year but it just so happenned that Tucker's birthday was on a Wednesday, which is when we normally watch one of his friends anyway and then his other friend came over because his mom went to Hawaii and so we were watching him and his siblings too. It was super nice of his friends to bring him a present. He got this race car piggy bank that he got to paint and a new hot wheels car with a tractor trailer for it to ride on the back with
